This course is designed for registered and itinerant compliance inspectors who completed the two-day Classified Plant course under the old regulations.

In this course you’ll gain an understanding about the new regulations and statutory expectations pertaining to a large range of Plant and Equipment.

Our training session includes training manual, morning tea and lunch.

• What is a Person Conducting a Business Undertaking? (PCBU)
• Key changes in mine site terminology.
• Introduction to the WHS General and Mines Regulations 2022.
• Key changes between the Mine Safety Inspection Regulations and the new WHS Mines
  Regulations 2022.
• The requirements for design and plant registration.
• New items of registered plant.
• Hazard level calculations to AS 4343
• Itinerant Registered Plant Inspections and compliance.
• Mine management systems and implementation of the Mine Safety Management System.

Practical component

We will carry out an itinerant inspection on a 20 tonne Franna.

• Inspect the onboard equipment file.
• Carry out a visual inspection.
• Record the results.
